Now a Bug is really a Bug
Hitting the scales at only 60 milligrams DARPA newest toy is a fly. Yes a fly the annoying little pest has become mechanical. With a wingspan of just three centimeters the robotic fly’s movements are modeled on those of a real fly. Nature after all has made the world’s best fliers. While there are a few kinks to still be work out researchers hope that the small flying machine could one day be used as spies or detecting harmful chemicals.
Notice the second option or the option they make help out humanity is always put last and with our ever-shrinking attention spans many of us are prone to remember the latter and not the former…
Of course this is neither the first nor the last project dealing with robotic insects, as researchers from all over the world are diligent at work to make the bug a bug...
