WiFi in the Motherland

Fort Port, Uganda is a place where modernity resources are scarce, electricity is limited and power outages are a way of life yet a campaign consisting of four remote villages has been launched in which solar – powered computers wireless networks and telephone system will enable villagers to surf the web, build data bases, use e-mail and make phone calls over the internet. This in itself is a miracle considering that the nearest landline is two miles away.

Technophilanthropy as its best people. Let us hope that this program will succeed.
