More vegetables please
There still is hope for the small farmer. As more and more Americans become health and environmentally conscious there is a growing trend (not a cool word) among many to purchase their food particularly fruits and veggies from small and more importantly locally farms.
Many are even willing to pay more for what they deem as quality food. The added perk to this is now these farmers have a growing market they are less willing to deal with large distribution chains and fight for shelf pace and are returning to good ole good products and a fable or two to sell their goods.
Do not fooled into thinking that these small farms are tiny on the financial end as a few of them are approaching over a half million dollars in sales. Making money and helping people at the same how COOL!
Eco-friendly, regionally produce food the new sensation.
