What does 14 years and a half a billion dollars get you?
Well if you are a member of the 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry it gets you the Land Warrior suite.

The Land Warrior suite is a high tech collection of soldier gear. For the 1st time a large group of infantrymen will be tied to a combat network.




The soldiers will don radios and GPS locators. A helmet mounted monocle lets the soldier know he and his comrades are on a satellite powered map. The monopole is connected to the weapon sight giving soldiers the ability to shoot around corners. The sight also serves as a long-range zoom with 12x amplification making every rifleman a marksman, laser targeting and night vision are part of the scope as well.

Ghost Recon Advance Warfare becomes reality. Between automated sentries and here patrolling borders and Spartan in the making soldiers fighting our battles. War is becoming even more high tech though a lot of this is flexing our muscles of military superiority.

At the same time is any of this making the world a safer place or is it turning the globe into one big real time first person shooter?
