The Wood
Being an avid note talker or better yet a doodler I can run through a box of pencils very quickly usually in under a month. In most cases when that happens it’s nothing more than a purchasing another box of pencils. An error free not stress process up until last month. The last box of pencils that I purchase was the Focus 20 pack #2 pencil by Pentech. At first everything appeared when I sharpen 4 of them in my electric pencil sharper but on the second sharpening of the aforementioned pencils things begin to unravel. With one pencil no sooner that I completed the sharpening the minute that I would write with it the lead would break instantly. Okay bold pencil move on to the next one and this time around the lead would not break instantly on contact but would break a few seconds later. Same with the third and fourth pencil as well.
Rational conclusion the pencil sharper is killing the pencils so I quickly replace the pencil sharper and proceed to grab another set of four and again the same problem. Again it is the pencil sharper it must be the brand. New sharper from a new brand and yet instill the problems persist. It can’t be no way in the world that the pencil a centuries old writing device has falling to the victim the incompetence of modern man?
This particular pencil lead almost slid all the way out. sheesh
From here you can see how much of the wood from the pencil fell off as well.
