Hardy Mate!

According to the wonderful folks over at Wired the people at Pirate Bay aka The World's most notorious Bit Torrent tracking site claim they cannot be sunk even if its four operators are convicted of facilitating copyright infringement.

Well hardy mate. Pirate Bay rock on with your bad self.

However, this should not even be an issue. The main opponents of internet file sharing are multi billion dollar industries such as the music, movie and even the software industry. Who have made most of their at the exploitation of others.

The music industry is the biggest hypocrite of all. Honestly how much money has been stolen from musicians since the inception of this industry? We have people alive and well walking around homeless who at one point of time had hit albums, songs or at least a song.

In many of these cases it is not like the song has fallen on lost ears, some how some way it is still in circulation via radio, tv, film, video games etc etc the point is that it is out there and it is still making someone a lot of money.

Usually that someone had nothing to do with the creation or performance of that song. Yet they are the one getting rich off it.

Keep in mind this is how the music industry runs still to this very day most recording artist are exploited by the very people crying people are stealing their product.

How is the product yours? Did you write the song? No. Did you compose the music? No. Are you going from city to city performing? No.

At best you put up the money, which is not a easy feat in itself but that does give you sole control of said product?
That's the million-dollar question.

Same thing with film and television the way guys are doing the writers sucks ass. Pardon my tongue but it does. You are robbing the most important element of your industry yet you complain when download a movie that is actually a remake of a remake or video game made into a movie or the a graphic novel or comic book adaptation. Get over yourself.

I am not encouraging people download but I see no problems with it as long as the person doing does it for their personal pleasure now downloading something and selling it to make a profit that is another story.

Instead of all the finger pointing and accusation an in depth study if possible should be done on online sharing.

I wonder if the problems in the music industry stem from downloads or there is not a lot of great music to purchase. Do the people that download hurt sales overall or are they downloading stuff they would not have purchase in the first place.

More than likely it is the latter and more than likely without internet sharing they would havehttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif made a copy from a friend. So still no money.

The same can probably be said for TV and movies it seems only natural people would download something that could not have, afford than something they could.

Instead of fighting the people the corporations should listen to the people case in point Global Frequency.
