Long Time

Well baby I am back, tomorrow or sometime this week will begin my adventures into VOIP as I have just sign up with SunRocket. If you are not familiar with SunRocket they are VOIP, which minus the geek rabble gives one the ability to have your telephones work via the internet if you have a high-speed connection. SunRocket is a lot like Vonage who earlier in the year I tried but was a little disappointed in not with the service Vonage came off wonderful but with the features that comes with their package SunRocket out of the box is killing Vonage offering so much more. Also, to be a tech company the customer support over at Vonage is a little slow, anyway moving on.

The infamous “Black Tuesday” for more GM layoffs has finally happen is GM in trouble or what depending on how things turn out with Delphi GM could be heading for the grave. The employment issue in this country is becoming a problem a problem that is not going to go away. While we are in the midst of a transformation be it global, the final stages of industrial base economy to a tech base economy etc etc… I am quite sure things can be handled much better than this… Why do all these mega sized companies wait until the crap hits the fan to do anything.. group think anyone? If you are having problems now you were having the same problems five years ago and are going to have these same problems five years from now. There has to be a more humane of handling this because at that rate we are going we are creating a very unstable country if stable and America can even be applied to each other in the same sentence.

I am being fair about this I know in most companies there are usually 4 to 5 people doing a job that 1 person can handle but instead of laying everyone off in one swipe maybe train a few employees for other professions in the event that they are going to terminated better than yet what about setting up workshops training employees to become entrepreneurs who knows a day may come where they are supplying products that their former employee may need. For younger workers classes should be set up about saving money instead of encouraging them to spend and spend making them more dependent on you and making them less likable to quit or anything. For older workers who maybe to old to gain employment elsewhere programs could be set up to create co-ops for medication, maybe even investment in properties especially with commercial ones since the next generation of seniors are going to be in such large proportion….. just some food for thought…
