What Would The Founding Fathers Say....
With the barrage of media coverage concerning illegal immigration, foreign policy and the expanding global market has many Americans proclaiming their various beliefs on what it means to be an American.
Yet within all this banter about what it means to be an American the core essence of what the Founding Fathers stood for and wanted has been lost, forgotten and not even known by most Americans.
And that my friends was avoiding with diligence was dependency not dependency in the way we think of it drugs… foreign oil etc etc… Not at all…
To the Founding Fathers an individual was considered dependent when he was not free to act in the public good because his well being depended on a particular result…
Non-dependency (freedom) meant being able to choose what was right without worrying about personal consequences.
Of course this concept is lost to politicians since their whole career depends on catering to the needs of big business that constantly keep the politician’s campaign fund filled to the brim.
You see this script being playing out in other arenas as well… medical, education and even within your personal life.
