Just Breathe

By now I think the initial shock of Apple switching from PowerPC chips to chips made by Intel has wore off some. Through the hype and the doom and gloom of the Apple faithful a lot of has been said. Some good, most bad. I cannot call it this is America and America is about money duh it is a capitalistic society. Game theory anyone? Too many people are into deifying their ideology and demonizing everyone else’s. It works fine until a situation occurs where what you were deifying merges with what you demonizing and you are left on the outside looking in. Sort of like the Jedi, ha!

Do not get me wrong I am a diehard Apple computer user and in the last three years I have converted some of my closest friends to give Apple a try. It is not so much brand loyalty as it is Apple computers are better suited to meet the needs that I use a computer for. Yes there are others that may work for me Alienware, that Acer Ferrari Laptop and a few more that I cannot think of.

Now will this be the move that kills Apple, I doubt it but one can never tell. Yet Steve Jobs made a good point at the WWDC keynote in speaking on a G5 Powerbook a look at any Macintosh community and you will see that is a topic that goes on and on.

So in the long run this move will help Apple and when you angry PowerPC loyalist see Power Macs coming out at 3 and 4ghz and faster laptops with a much longer battery life some of the frustration will quickly disperse.
